Introduction

Giant Eagle, a supermarket grocery chain generating an average of $9 billion in sales per year, wished to invest in the training of their meat department’s employees. A twenty-four-week course was designed to train applicants on proper techniques for handling and butchering meat products, while also providing insight into efficiently operating the department’s retail business. With the curriculum and milestones established, the company needed a visual language to inspire staff to sign up for the course.
